These are the current requirements for renewing your Virginia Real Estate Broker license. We will always provide the newest information available and will update the requirements as soon as there are changes.
- To renew your Real Estate Brokers License in the state of Virginia, you are required to complete 8 hours of continuing education every 2 years.
- Four hours of continuing education shall be in subjects covering fair housing law, state real estate laws and regulations, and ethics and standards of conduct.
- The remaining four hours of continuing education shall be in topics approved by the Board. Property rights, leases, liens, and investments are some subjects approved by the Board.
- Licensees shall retain a record of course completion for a minimum of three years. Licensees will provide the Board with verification of completion of courses at their request.
